The ASHRAE Falcon Chapter was honored to participate in a high-level meeting with the MOEIUAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, led by H.E. Eng. Sherif Al Olama , Undersecretary of Energy & Petroleum Services, and attended by Mr. William McQuade, ASHRAE President, and the UAE Falcon Chapter Leadership & Board of Governors represented by Dr. Ahmed Alaa Eldin Mohamed Mahmoud, Abdallah Mahmoud, MSc, CEM®. , Osama Khayata, Eid Mohammed.
The discussions focused on key strategic areas including AI in HVAC, energy efficiency, decarbonization, data center performance, national cooling strategies, and IAQ initiatives across the region.
A key highlight was the opportunity for ASHRAE to support the UAE in developing evaluation and rating frameworks to address efficiency challenges across priority sectors.
ASHRAE Society and the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter UAE look forward to strengthening collaboration with MOEI and advancing impactful initiatives aligned with the UAE’s sustainability goals.
