SUMMARY:Free Seminar: Innovative water source VRF technology and its applications
DESCRIPTION:Hisense water-source multi-split air conditioning system successfully combines water-source control technology\, multi-split control technology\, DC inverter-driven technology and environmentally friendly R410A refrigerant\, blends the technical advantages of air-cooled multi-split inverter-driven air conditioning and water-cooled chiller unit\, and takes advantage of the low-grade heat such as ocean\, soil\, industrial waste heat and municipal wastewater to realize cooling and heating\, then greatly saves energy. \nThe adoption of water-source multi-split air conditioning system is free from conventional low-temperature climate and geographical constraints\, it can be widely used in the following water conditions and also be used in combination with other energy sources such as solar and other new energy. \nSpeaker: Mr. Li Ning\, senior mechanical engineer & technical solution director of Hisense/Hitachi\, with more than 10 years VRF solution experience. \n  \nFor registration: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/innovative-water-source-vrf-technology-and-its-applications-tickets-45627974500

SUMMARY:Innovative HVAC Systems for Energy Efficiency
DESCRIPTION:Event Sponsor M/s Conex Banninger \nCo Sponsor M/s HIRA Industry & M/s Hisense \nAgenda\n6.00 – 6.30 PM Registration\n6.30 – 7.15 PM Presntation on Topic 1\n7.15 – 8.00 PM Presentation on Topic 2\n8.00 PM onward Dinner and Networking \nTopic 1 -Innovative HVAC Systems for Energy Efficiency     (6.30PM to 7.15PM)\nPrsented By – Daniel H. Nall\, P.E.\, Vice President\, Syska Hennessy Group \nThis presentation examines several different innovative approaches to HVAC systems that demonstrate significant improvements compared with conventional systems. These HVAC systems incorporate several first principles strategies to both increase the efficiency of the heating and cooling sources and also to reach desired environmental goals more directly.  These principles include: \n\nImproving the efficiency of the heating and cooling source for the building by operating it to provide the highest temperature cooling and lowest temperature heating required to achieve the desired psychrometric outcome.\nUsing both diurnal and annual storage of heat rejected from the cooling process to reduce make-up heat for heating mode of water source heat pump systems.\nSelective application of low temperature cooling to achieve desired space humidity goals with minimized reheat\n\nThe projects demonstrating these approaches are of several types\, laboratories\, healthcare\, office and high-rise residential. Strategies for reducing lift for compression refrigeration comfort systems are presented\, one strategy utilizing ground-coupling to reduce condensing temperature\, and the second approach involves tailoring chilled water temperature to cooling end-use (sensible cooling or dehumidification).  Two projects presenting alternate utilization of thermal storage are presented\, one using building systems for diurnal storage and the other using ground annual thermal storage to provide make-up heat for heat pump systems.   Finally\, two airside system approaches to minimizing reheat for dehumidification are presented. The systems are designed for high airflow\, humidity controlled spaces that ordinarily rely on reheat to maintain conditions\, but the presented configurations significantly reduce the need for reheat. \nLearning goals for the presentation.  After the presentation\, the attendee should be able to: \n\nUnderstand the importance of first principles analysis to improve the design of HVAC systems that must achieve specific environmental goals.\nAnalyze systems over daily and annual time periods to identify thermal resources that can reduce energy consumption.\nUse psychrometric analysis to identify and validate energy efficiency opportunities related to dehumidification.\nExploit load and ventilation diversity among different occupancy types to achieve more efficient environmental control for mixed-use buildings.\n\nTopic -2 The Opportunity to move from Brazing to Pressing\nBe part of the global team leading the transition from brazing to >B< MaxiPro press technology in air conditioning and refrigeration (ACR) applications. \n\nThe conversion from brazing/soldering to >B< Press is still growing after 30 years with no sign of slowing down within the plumbing industry.\nACR is about to embark on this transition\, which will provide significant opportunities for decades to come.\n>B< MaxiPro was invented as an extension of press technology and is capable of handling the higher pressures involved in air conditioning and refrigeration applications.
